On Holocaust Memorial Day 2022 I gave this speech to remember all those who were killed during the Holocaust and to reaffirm the need to learn from the atrocities of the past so that we may never repeat them.

Bath’s MP and Lib Dem Climate Change Spokesperson Wera Hobhouse has called for clarity from the Treasury over what measures they are taking to ensure that energy efficiency is achieved, particularly for struggling households. Mrs Hobhouse’s call comes as the Government weighs up options to tackle the cost of living crisis with energy prices set to rise sharply in April after the energy price cap increases.

Party after party. Excuse after excuse. The outrages continue to pile up and therefore it is only a matter of time before the Prime Minister runs out of road. The Met Police investigation is the first step towards justice for millions who have felt so much pain as a result of Boris Johnson’s behaviour. They deserve justice. Boris Johnson is not above the law.

Bath MP Wera Hobhouse has voted against the Elections Bill which came back for its third reading in the House of Commons this week. Mrs Hobhouse states that the bill is immoral and will disenfranchise some voters.

Bath MP Wera Hobhouse reaffirmed her commitment to renewable energy in a debate on nuclear energy yesterday. The debate was on the Government’s Nuclear Energy Financing Bill which seeks a regulated asset base model for nuclear energy generation projects, along with other measures such as revenue collection and administration for licensees subject to that model.

The RUH in Bath has declared a critical incident due to high numbers of COVID and non-COVID patients, staff absences and a lack of available beds due to the social care crisis. Wera pushed the government for a debate on these issues, so that hospital managers can voice their concerns and solutions can be agreed to help our hospitals at this important time.
