3 Please give details of why you consider the Local Plan is not legally compliant or is unsound or fails to comply with the duty to co-operate.

Please be as precise as possible.

Please let us know your response in the text box (There is no word limit on open questions):

This part of the local plan is not sound because it does not meet the Council's net zero ambitions and respond to the nature emergency, nor does itaddress the need to support the surrounding local communities socially and economically. Designating businesses like 'builders merchants' and or 'sui generous depot type uses' to the island would ensue constant heavy and light goods vehicle movements which are detrimental to the environment. It would require the building of new infrastructure. The location would be far more suitable for community and/or light business use to benefit and support local people and address deprivation. It should support uses that address the Climate Emergency and promote well-being. The site should be considered to compliment activities like Locksbrook Creative Industry Hub.

4 Please set out the modification(s) you consider necessary to make the Local Plan legally compliant and sound, in respect of any legal compliance or soundness matters you have identified at above. Please let us know your response in the text box (There is no word limit on open questions):

The section should remove the words 'builder's merchants or sui generous depot type uses' and insert instead 're-use of the current industrial

infrastructure for employment use to support public facing creative arts based activities, promote the well-being economy for the benefit of the

surrounding local communities and compliment existing arts and culture activities.

5 If your representation is seeking a modification to the plan, do you consider it necessary to participate in examination hearing session(s)?

Yes, I wish to participate in hearing session(s)

6 If you wish to participate in the hearing session(s), please outline why you consider this to be necessary:

Please let us know your response in the text box (There is no word limit on open questions):

The site is crucially important for the City of Bath and as the MP I would like to set out why future plans need to address the Climate and Nature

Emergency as well as creating employment sites that benefit the economic and social well-being of its local communities based on public facing creative arts based activities.
