Total numbers on the march are estimated at well over 1 million people. At least 200 coaches were organised by groups like Bath from across the country. Bath sent seven coaches and organised the People’s Vote Express. This special train brought more than 600 supporters from Bristol, Bath and Chippenham. Many made their way to the capital under their own steam.

Bath residents of all ages took part, from families with young children to university students and seniors. Many overcame difficulties to be there or marched for the first time because they felt so strongly about giving the people a final say on Brexit.

Wera, who spoke at the rally at the start of the march with fellow Lib Dem MPs, said: "It was truly inspiring to join well over a million people on the streets of London, and march for having a say in our country’s future. Any Brexit that happens now must be conditional on a People’s Vote, which I see as the super option. The sensible thing for the Prime Minister to do would be to take the pressure out of the situation and revoke Article 50."
