Wera Hobhouse, MP for Bath, has criticised the reappointment of Suella Braverman to Home Secretary during an Urgent Question. It comes after Ms Braverman admitted to breaking the Ministerial Code by sharing sensitive Home Office information using her unsecure personal email address.

Wera Hobhouse, MP for Bath, told Parliament in a debate on NHS dentistry that dental care is in a disgraceful state. Just 3 in 10 people in Bath have seen a dentist, down from 50% in 2018, in the past 2 years. Only 6 in 10 children in Bath have been able to see a dentist in the past 12 months despite the NHS recommending all under-18s see the dentist once per year. This 6 in 10 number is down 20% on 2018 levels.

On Wednesday evening there was an opposition day motion on fracking. Whilst trying to prevent a Conservative rebellion it is reported that Conservative ministers and whips resorted to shouting, bullying, and manhandling MPs to ensure they went through the No lobby to vote down the opposition's motion. Wera Hobhouse, MP for Bath, asked Penny Mordaunt, Leader of the House, to explain how the Conservatives could now be seen as positive role models for professionalism in Parliament.

In data revealed by the Liberal Democrats, provided by the House of Commons Library, the shocking extent to which sexual harrassment takes places in the workplace is laid bare. 20% of the UK workforce, 10.6 million people, have experienced at least one form of workplace sexual harassement in the last 12 months.
