Wera Hobhouse praises “valuable” work of local training provider

On Friday 12th July, Wera Hobhouse, in her first Bath visit following her re-election as the city’s MP, visited staff and clients of Seetec.

Seetec is a leading provider of training, skills and rehabilitation services to businesses and government in the UK and Ireland. It is the 9th largest employee-owned company in the UK and the largest employee-owned business in the sectors in which it operates.

The business helps thousands of people every year to take ownership over their future by helping them into work, develop new skills or make more positive choices. Founded in 1984, the company has grown by focusing on creating sustainable and lasting change for the people it supports. It also delivers the Department for Work and Pensions’ Restart Scheme and Work and Health Programme.

It enjoys Ofsted Grade 2, B-Corp certification, Disability Confident leader as well as the gold award for the Investors in People, Armed Forces Covenant and Health & Wellbeing standard.

Nicole Kaur, Business Manager at Seetec Plus said of Wera’s visit: “Since opening our doors in Bath in 2021 we have worked with hundreds of local employers to help hundreds of local people back into work every year. We were so honoured that Wera chose us for her first visit after her re-election and loved showing her round our operation and introducing her to our team and customers.”
