Youth-Led Mental Health Support

10 September 2019

Today is #WorldSuicidePreventionDay. Today and every day, it’s so important for all of us to remember that it’s OK to say that we’re not OK. And it’s OK to ask for help.

Boys in Mind / Girls Mind Too is a pioneering, youth-led Bath initiative, working in schools and other organisations. Their goal is to empower boys and young men to talk about their emotions and express their vulnerability in a safe and healthy manner.

They challenge unhelpful stereotypes, combat stigma around mental health and ultimately aim to reduce suicide.

Wera was so impressed and touched by their team who came to see her last week. Each one of these young men is courageous and authentic, role-modeling the openness and solution-focused approach we need to instill in our schools and within our larger community.

Please follow @boysinmind on Facebook and Twitter and visit their website https://boysinmind.co.uk/ to find out more about their outstanding work.
