Parliament May Be Silenced But I’m Not Going Away

By Office of Wera Hobhouse, Sep 12, 2019 1:09

Wera was in the House of Commons on Monday night September 9th, doing her part to stop democracy being undermined.

Commenting on these dramatic political events, Wera said: “I will be using the next five weeks while Parliament is prorogued to force scrutiny of how a Conservative no-deal Brexit would impact Britain and what it would mean for the millions of EU citizens who live here.”

“Parliament may be silenced for now, but I am not going away.”

On Wednesday 11th September, Scottish appeal court judges declared the Prime Minister’s decision to suspend Parliament for five weeks as the Brexit deadline approaches to be unlawful.
