Hustings Show Concern for Homelessness, Brexit and Education

27 November 2019

Wera has participated in several hustings so far with her fellow candidates for the December 12th election. From church groups, to business leaders to university students, she's heard that people are concerned about many different issues.

Bath is tolerant, inclusive & compassionate. Over the past two years, Wera has met thousands of people in her weekly surgery who are on the front lines of our city’s issues, grappling with services cut to the bone after years of austerity. She has completed more than 15,000 pieces of casework - getting to know, and representing, families from across the city. People often come to their MP only as a last resort.

In hustings throughout the city, Wera has spoken of her personal values of compassion. She has represented her constituents and remained true to her ideals in fighting to stop Brexit.

She has detailed policies designed to achieve climate action, as well as her fight for fair school funds and how to end homelessness and inequality by building more social housing for Bath.

As a former teacher and artist, she understands the value of equality, fairness and creativity in building a healthier, happier society.
