Wera Captivated by Beckford's Tower

3 March 2020

Beckford's Tower, one of Bath's iconic gems and a landmark on our city skyline, is well worth a visit.

Wera was given a tour of the extraordinary tower and its collection of artefacts by Bath Preservation Trust's Chief Executive Caroline Kay and Senior Curator Amy Frost.

Wera said: "Like many of us living in Bath, I have admired Beckford's Tower from a distance but I had never visited this outstanding site. Caroline and Amy gave me a fascinating tour and told me about the exciting plans being developed to carry out vital conservation work and extend the museum offering to include the Tower’s landscape, thanks to a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Bath Preservation Trust owns and operates Beckford’s Tower and must also raise a considerable amount to fund this project – called ‘Our Tower’."

Beckford's Tower will be open to the public on weekends and Bank Holiday Mondays starting Saturday 7th March through 1st November, from 10:30 am - 5 pm (last entry 4:30 pm). For more information, visit the Beckford's Tower website: https://beckfordstower.org.uk/. Bath Discovery Card holders get 50% off the admission price.
