Local MP Promises to Support Bath Businesses Through a “Very Different” Holiday Season

Today Wera Hobhouse, MP for Bath, promised to support Bath businesses and institutions through the Christmas period – sharing highlights and events on her online channels as part of a social media Advent Calendar.

Bath’s MP will be posting daily about Covid-safe events, local businesses that need support, and other holiday highlights until December 25th. Wera Hobhouse stated that although “Bath will be experiencing a very different Christmas this year”, there is still “lots going on around the city that you and your family can enjoy safely”. She also acknowledged the challenges faced by small businesses in Bath throughout the course of the pandemic, calling the year “incredibly challenging for many in our community”.

Wera Hobhouse said:

“We all know that Bath won’t look the way we have come to expect this December but that does not mean that nothing is happening in our city. After what has been a difficult year for so many, it is more important than ever to mark the festive period and celebrate in Covid-safe ways which also help to support local business and our loved institutions here in Bath – whilst keeping our community safe from the virus.”
