This event has now sold out. However, you will still be able to watch the talk! There will be a live stream of the event hosted on Wera's Facebook Page, from 6.30PM on Thursday.

The most recent IPCC Report set a deadline to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees. It has prompted many of us - from Extinction Rebellion to the Youth Climate Alliance - to act. We are facing a climate emergency.

Dr Jo House, PhD, BSc Honors, Reader in Environmental Science and Policy at the University of Bristol will be talking about the situation we currently face.

Jo is one of the lead authors of the IPCC Reports, the 1.5 degree Reports and the recent Committee on Climate Change Report. She says: “My research is on land and climate interactions, including emissions of carbon dioxide from land use change (e.g. deforestation), climate mitigation potential from the land (e.g. afforestation, bioenergy), and implications of science for policy.”

We are delighted that Jo has found time in her busy schedule to speak to us about her incredibly important and timely work.
