It was the first event of its kind, and Wera is very proud that Bath was chosen to host it.
On 7th February, Arts Council England and Wera organised an interactive conference. It brought together 100 participants representing many groups from the local arts community. The event provided an exciting platform for a collaborative conversation around the Arts Council’s new 10 year strategy, “Let’s Create”. The venue was Bath Spa University’s School of Art and School of Design’s stunning new Locksbrook Campus. The conference enabled a wide range of individuals and organisations to come together to start to find creative solutions to the funding limitations facing the sector.
Wera is very grateful to Arts Council England and Bath Cultural Education Partnership for their tremendous support, and to Bath Spa University for hosting it. A follow-up event has been scheduled for 23 March.
