Prime Minister, Apologise to Covid Bereaved Families

On the night of December 18th 2020, Downing Street hosted a Christmas party, including drinks and a Secret Santa. On that same day 514 people died after contracting Covid-19 and the rest of us remained apart, following the guidance that our Prime Minister asked us all to abide by.

Now, footage has emerged of Downing Street staff, including the PM's own spokesperson, joking about the party. Despite this, the PM still refuses to admit that a party took place and is only promising an internal investigation into the matter.

This is shameful from the PM, showing his inability to take responsibility for his actions and his contempt for accountability. There must be an urgent investigation and the Prime Minister must apologise.

The PM must own up and apologise to the thousands of bereaved families for his actions. An independent investigation must be carried out so that our government can be held to the same standards that we all follow.

We the undersigned demand an official apology from the Prime Minister to all families bereaved by Covid-19. We also demand an independent investigation into the alleged party at No.10 Downing Street on the night of December 18th 2020 and any breaches Covid-19 regulation that pertain to it.
